Thanksgiving Basket Ride Successful

Cornelius Wyche, or better known as Winky in the Snake Pit, has been organizing Cobra One's Thanksgiving Basket Drive for some years now. Winky would say, "Oh about 14 or 15 years, it's just something that we love to do." Cobra One M/C Inc. is dedicated to God and Family first and the community. We try to help out wherever we can. The drive has become a tradition now for the club. It really touches the heart to go to some of the homes of our community. The warm spirit that goes though your body knowing that you have impacted someone's life gives you the initiative to keep the program going.

This starts with collecting name from club members, churches and the public school systems. We purchase the grocery items for the baskets the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Food Lion has worked very diligently with us by giving discounts where applicable and having our order packed and ready for pick-up. Kudos' to Food Lion Store  #601 Manager (Paul Morley) and staff for support this year. Next we go to Cobra's headquarters known as the "Snake Pit" to separate groceries into individual baskets. On Sunday Cobras meet at the "Snake Pit" riding our motorcycles to load the baskets and proceed to the designated church to worship and have the baskets blessed. After church we are on our way delivering the baskets and having a moment of prayer with each family. The day ends with fellowship at the "Snake Pit', with a delicious meal prepared by fellow Cobras.

We thank God for having blessed us to be a blessing to others.

We Ride By Faith, Not By Sight.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY
